  4. I am pleased to announce the release of UULite version 3.0 for the
  5. Macintosh. UULite is one of the fastest, most powerful and easiest to
  6. use smart uudecoder/uuencoders available for the Macintosh.
  7.  
  8. UULite is one of the first and best uuencoder/ uudecoders available for
  9. the Macintosh.  It's a highly optimized, single-pass, disk-based
  10. uudecoder/ uuencoder.  Because it's disk based, it's never necessary to
  11. adjust its memory partition to handle any file -- no matter how large. 
  12. UULite version 3.0 now runs native on both Power Macs and 680x0
  13. Macintoshes.

  15. If the task is to uudecode/uuencode files, UULite will save you time and
  16. aggravation.

  18. Version 3.0 has the following features:

  21.     -      Multi-part file decoding with automatic header and footer

  35. • Background processing:  decode/encode in the background while you work

  40.     -      You can now configure UULite to feed decoded files to other
  41.                 programs (launching them if necessary).   Imagine selecting an
  42.                 uuencoded image file in NewsWatcher, choosing "Extract Binaries"
  43.                 and having the image decoded and fed to a program like JPEGView
  44.                 for immediate display on your screen...all in one step.

  47. Note: UULite, beginning with version 3.0, requires System 7.

  50. System Requirements

  52. UULite requires a Macintosh (680x0 or Power Macintosh) running System
  53. 7.0 or greater with at least 500K of available RAM.  A hard disk is
  54. strongly recommended.
